Fellene Gaylord is the founder and Creative-in-Chief of Sirius Media.

With years of award-winning design expertise in both web and print media, Fellene offers the best of both worlds when it comes to communications. She began her career as a graphic designer at TriMet and OHSU Center for Women’s Health, providing print design services while developing her digital skills. She then worked for BERGER/ABAM as a design consultant before launching her business.

In 2007, Fellene began building affordable and effective small websites for small businesses, non-profits, and creative artists. Then she discovered a new tool that expanded the range of services she could offer – she discovered the amazing power of WordPress. Since then Sirius Media has created over 150 unique sites for clients ranging from authors, artists, and musicians, to landscapers, excavators, city governments, museums, podcasters, and environmental non-profits.

Fellene was a member of the Executive Council for CHIFOO for 14 years. Her service on the Council provided the chance to learn about web usability research from the innovators in the field, connect with the local UX leaders, and help newcomers find their place in the local jobs environment.

In 2015, she began teaching WordPress, Business Web Practices, and HTML for the Computer Technologies department at Clark College in Vancouver, Washington. She finds the opportunity to share the skills she’s spent a lifetime learning a wonderful opportunity to nurture the next generation of talent and give back to the community. She also teaches WordPress to clients, either in a group setting or on an individual basis.

Few designers offer the range of skills Fellene provides her clients. She supports each client’s unique needs through web design, development, troubleshooting, and training. Offline, she can help with branding, cartography, and print design as each client needs.
